Knox Church Kincardine is hosting the 106th Anniversary of the "Ringing of the Peace Bell". On 11 Nov 1918, the bells rang out throughout all of Canada heralding the end of WW1 and the restoration of peace and freedom in the world. That was the first "Ringing of the Peace Bell". On 11 Nov 2018 ,Knox Church 's bell rang out 100 times to herald the 100th Anniversary of the "Ringing of the Peace Bell". Since then the church has sustained this ceremony. As part of the ceremony, the poppies flow throughout the church sanctuary as the bell rings out. The ceremony includes the presence of the Legion Flag Bearers and the performing of songs to enhance the ceremony. The program ends with a stirring rendition of "Highland Cathedral".
